The above shows a stone pillar we built as part of a driveway and garage project we carried out recently in Edinburgh. Picture shows a broached ashlar column with rubble infill, pointed with a lime mortar. We can carry out similar works to the above as entrances to driveways, garages, estate houses etc. etc.
They certainly make an imposing addition to larger houses and buildings. The above masonry was dressed by ourselves on site by our masons.
